Slovenia road trip map

Slovenia, a small country located in Central Europe, is often overlooked as a travel destination, but it’s a hidden gem that’s well worth visiting. Known for its stunning natural landscapes, rich history, and friendly people, Slovenia is the perfect destination for travelers looking for an off-the-beaten-path experience. With its diverse geography, Slovenia offers everything from snow-capped mountains to crystal-clear lakes, rolling hills, and verdant valleys.

Slovenia is the thirdmost forested country in Europe, with more than half of its territory (64%) covered in forests. Culturally, Slovenia is a mix of Slavic, Germanic and Mediterranean influences which can be seen in its architecture, food and customs. The country is also known for its wine, for example its white wines, which are produced from the indigenous Rebula grape variety.
